When working with students, the most important thing they need to have each day is a positive attitude and a willing spirit :)
Our classroom is one filled with respect, tolerance and encouragement. I work independently with each student to look at areas where they need support and together, we come up with a plan to help them achieve their academic and behavioral goals. I am committed to providing them whatever supports they need, both in and outside the traditional classroom. We try various ways of learning new material and showing off what we've learned. My students are encouraged to take risks and are supported in their efforts. We celebrate successes as we achieve each goal. Potential has no boundaries!
Students know that our classroom is one where they can get any support they might need in order to access their typical curriculum. While the methods we use might be unconventional, there is definitely learning happening! We don't expect perfection....we just expect effort.
